Welcome to JSTAR MULE FARM. Our 100 acre mule farm is located in the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri.
I grew up in Central Texas riding my Grandfathers Ranch horses. These were well bred quarter horses.
When I moved to the Ozarks I started riding a mule to hunt off of. The mule didn't come close to
reigning like the horses I had rode in my youth. I saw great potential in the mule; if it only could rein.
I have been riding mules for 10 plus years now. I started breeding and training mules to achieve my desired results.
I use the TEXAS SCOOTER BLOODLINE on the Jack side. Earl Sunderman of Villisca, IA. is one of Americas Great American
Mammoth Jackstock experts. He bred Texas Scooter to a Chezscin Jenny to produce Pete Coopers "OKIES PRIDE." Earl
said this produced some of the most trainable Jackstock available. I have two Jacks out of that particular bloodline.
I use Foundation quarter horse mares for performance mules and gaited mares for trail mules. The lines of my quarter
mares have been proven time and again in Roping, Reining, Barreling and more. I now team rope and do much more on
my mules. I trail ride the Ozarks daily and hunt off my mules. I climb more mountains and cross deeper waters than
most riders. Proper breeding and training can produce mules that will meet all expectations in performance or trail.
